Post more winter to call winter chan! The last few years has been shit for snow.

I have a love-hate relationship with winter. I love winter cause there is a peace and serenity it has that other season just don't. Whenever it does snow here, southern fag here, it gives a view of calm and beauty that I yearn for, it doesn't show up often but I am awed by it when it does. Its like a different world where time is at an stand still and reflecting is at its most powerful, there is nothing but silence and the only thing of warmth is the breath from your mouth, you witness a calm that nothing else in nature can replicate. Not to mention a cold, clear, wintry night sky is the best view of the stars and and memorizes the soul to the core.

But I also hate it cause trying to do anything productive is a pain in the ass. Waking up freezing half to death is not a pleasant feeling and if there was a thick snow, I'm half dead asleep shoveling the snow off my road in order to just get out in the morning. Also because I'm in the south, people go apeshit over even a snowflake and cause of it, they go retard and I have to watch myself when driving, not to mention I'm already being cautious of ice and such. And daylights savings time ending and it getting pitch dark at 5pm isn't something I like. There's other stuff to complain about too but I just don't feel like complaining about it all right now.

But despite the bad things of winter, the serenity and sense of calm a snow bring is like nothing else and it outweighs any complaints I have with it. And fuck summer, I can't stand constant heat and humidity. Winter>Summer every time, of course if I lived up north more, I would have a different perspective I would imagine.

I want a white Christmas. I live in Alabama though, so we never get a white Christmas and when it does snow it's usually melted by noon.

I suppose that anything is possible. It's always humorous watching people freak out and buy all of the milk, eggs, and bread in the grocery store. I guess they're making French toast?

I always get a laugh because everything shuts down in my town when it MIGHT snow. I have family in Wisconsin, so this behavior always strikes me as silly. To be honest though, the city does not have the infrastructure to clear the roads of ice and snow. So the roads will not be salted and will be in bad condition in the rare event they things do freeze over. While I'm confident in my own ability to drive on icy roads, I stay indoors on those days because I don't want to share the road with these idiots who drive like shit in ideal conditions.

I grew up in Northern Michigan, we get record snow fall, sometimes the plows dont come through and you just have to drive through 6 inches of snow.
