Most of the people who advocate for these social justice meme causes are white middle class young people who would naturally fall into the category of "privileged" by their own definition. I think there's a different cause. White guilt may have some influence, but the root cause is different.
Their parents raised them to "bee yourself!". When bullied, children didn't need to stop being a little shit, bullies needed to accept the special snowflake for who they were.
These children grew up in an environment where being different and being repressed got them praise and comfort. They imitate their guardians by praising people who are different and repressed, and have a need to be different and a bit repressed themselves.

I was dangerously close to falling into the same kind of thinking as special snowflakes at one point in my life, mainly because people had kept trying to convince me that I was special and different to everyone else throughout my life. Those kind of thoughts being constantly fed to you will fuck you up. It'll make you think the more you stand out and the longer you have the spotlight on you, no matter the reason, the more successful you can think of yourself.

That's a good point as well. I've actually realized lately that society is really moving in the wrong direction on bullying. I got picked on a lot as a kid and as I got older I just became more and more of an autistic edgelord because of it. I've always been sympathetic to autists who get knocked around and always supported those "end bullying" campaigns, but lately I'm beginning to think I was probably wrong about a lot of it.
As an adult I've realized that a lot of the times I got picked on I actually was acting like a huge faggot, and I probably wouldn't have gotten knocked around so much if I had made more of an effort to just get along with people and be less annoying. Maybe I should have even learned to play a sport or two even though I wasn't into it just to make some friends who weren't complete autists like me, who knows. More than anything I think kids need to learn how to properly behave and how to properly stand up for themselves. You need to learn at an early age what behaviors are appropriate in social situations and to save the autism for home. And if you're minding your own business and behaving properly and some still starts fucking with you, you need to stand up for yourself and fight, even if you lose. I honestly think I would have grown into a different person if I'd just learned how to throw a punch and had a few fights the way a normal boy is supposed to.

I specifically remember two occasions back in middle school and high school where I was being a cocky and annoying asshole, and got put in my place when the other person reacted, grabbed me, backed me into a corner and threatened to beat me up. Never actually fought, but I think the idea of a fight and the situation were scary and humiliating enough that it worked nearly as well as if I had actually decided to fight. Kinda funny how I look back now and think fondly of those anecdotes, because they taught me to behave and drop the shit that would have otherwise carried on into my adult life.

The first is implausible because the effect is really quite subtle and it takes a long time for symptoms to show, making it hard to check and correct and when you do it's too late. So we'd need to do something we know works, like only having male teachers. An impossible suggestion in all of modern politics, but may also have side-effects on the education of girls. Lastly, segregation is another tried method, but it will be difficult to maintain as the difference in supply&demand of male and female teachers will create tensions.
