I just hope we can just stay out of Syria from now on. I don't want to waste American resources getting involved in that shithole.

I think Assad will end up defeating the rebels. The U.S. isn't going to risk WW3.

Actually at the moment Kurds are withdrawing from attack on Raqqa because Turkey is bombing one of their cantons and they want some reaction from USA. Oh and gas attack is fake ofcoz, even fuckin normies are startin to see that. Other than that SAA is getting massive gains and uncle Sam shifted it's attention to best Korea.

Ehh I could really use all of /sg/ crew in here. Would not bother even coming on nu/pol/ ever again.

Personally I'm glad Trump is being tough on Syria. I'm glad he's being tough with North Korea too. I hope neither situation escalates into another Iraq type situation, but one way or the other the dream of the US being some sort of isolationist paradise that stays out of foreign affairs is just not going to happen. Obama's biggest failure beyond everything he did domestically was being a giant foreign relations pussy. Trump is basically demonstrating that he's not the type of president who is going to agonize over chess moves or has reservations about using force when necessary.

Also, I don't buy the whole "gas attack was faked" nonsense; that's some tinfoil-hat tier shit right there.

Yeah, I'm sure all of the dead Mossad agents we have found with ISIS agents after airstrikes were just there by accident, right? And the multiple ISIS/ISIL members who have been captured and all reported similar meetings with the IDF, and who were also able to name high-level Mossad agents by name are just coincidences, right?

And ISIS, the radical Islamic terrorist group, just happens to never, ever attack the Jewish ethno-state it borders territory with. I wonder why? Could it be they are smart enough not to bit the hand that feeds them? Oh, silly me, that's probably just another coincidence too, right Rabbi?

It's definitely good that Trump isn't being a pussy, and that makes him a great improvement over Obama. But I don't think he shoud be targetting assad, or at least he shouldn't do any more than he has already done. The simple fact is that already know what happens when you remove a Ba'athist Dictator from a Middle Eastern country especially a diverse one like Syria. The country dissentigrates into perpetual civil war, Christians and religious minorities get slaughtered, and the country becomes a launching pad for terrorists. We've seen it in Iraq and in Libya, and we're seeing it now in Syria. Even an Assad who gasses civilians is a better ruler for Syria, its people, and for the West, than for the Syrian government to be crippled.

I agree that we shouldn't do anything as rash as send troops in to forcibly take down the Assad regime, and I do hope it doesn't escalate into something like that. I also don't think that's what's going on here. People have a tendency to see every use of military force as another potential Iraq, which is understandable, but I don't get the impression that's what Trump wants or is trying to do. Bush had a hardon about Saddam Hussein because of his father and wanted to go to war; Trump wants to avoid unnecessary conflict, he's just not willing to let America continue to be seen as weak or ineffective. Obama was a "peace at any cost" kind of President and Trump wants to show other countries that he isn't. I think the whole thing is honestly just to show that we have guns and we're not afraid to use them, and it's really more of a message to Russia and China than to Assad.

>ISIS is secretly owned by Israel
>everything is Jews, Jews everywhere!
This is the kind of tinfoil hat stuff I was alluding to tbh. Seriously, who benefits from faking something like that? No offense but you sound as ridiculous as the Democrats and their Russian election-tampering theories.

Also
>Russian election tampering theories

You do realize the DNC actually was hacked, and that it LOOKED like it was done by Russians. Did you never read any of the Vault 7 files, or watch any of the interviews with JSOC and NSA members regarding Vault 7? Ex-NSA members used CIA tools that are left to leave Russian fingerprints to hack the DNC. The DNC wasn't necessarily wrong for blaming the Russians at first for that.

Look, I'm sorry for poking fun at you a little, I'm just being a cheeky bastard; we're all friends here. As far as the Russian hackers go I was referring less to the idea that the hacking was done by Russians and more to the way Dems keep clinging to the belief that Trump somehow orchestrated it and that he's secretly working for Putin. I just have a hard time putting any real stock in these 4D chess conspiracy theories where things aren't as they seem and there's always some shadowy third party pulling strings behind the scenes. It's fun to meme about of course, but in in reality the simple, boring explanation usually ends up being the truth.

Unless you can present some pretty compelling evidence to the contrary, I'm going to go ahead and say that Bush didn't do 9/11, the moon landing wasn't faked, the holocaust probably happened even if some of the details were exaggerated, and Israel, or whoever you're implying made the video because I still don't know what the hell you're talking about, didn't stage an elaborate hoax video of children being gassed because they wanted Trump to start launching missiles. Prove me wrong if you got the evidence.
