A fight to retake the holy land that was lost due to a bunch of heretical savages having taken advantage over a weakened eastern empires poor choice in conflicts. The first and second were examples of Christ intervening to save the souls of those who fought to retake the holy land. You do realize that Jews who aided the Moslems were massacred at the Sack of Jerusalem? The Kingdom of Jerusalem was for Christians by Christians, nothing Jewish about it.

Also, it was more symbolic than fighting over a patch of dirt. Muslims had conquered more and more of Christian lands and the Crusades were a message by a united Europe of "No more!" It slowed or stopped Muslim conquest for a couple hundred years.

The goal of the Crusades when it began was to finally do something about the hundreds of years of Muslim raiding and pillaging and to unite the waring Christian kingdoms of Europe under the cross to stop Muslim conquest in Europe and take back the Holy Land for Christians to make pilgrimages again. The first one was a success and established Christian kingdoms such as the Kingdom of Antioch and Kingdom of Jerusalem as a foothold in the Middle East as well as serving key trading places of wealth and knowledge. I don't know much about the second one other than the Muslims tried to take Jerusalem but the Christians stopped them. The third one was the most well known and largest and we pretty much know how this one went; Muslims successfully took Jerusalem and although the Crusaders managed to keep key provenances and cites, they failed to retake Jerusalem but at the time since they still had many footholds and territories across the Levant, a possible retaking was possible later on. However the forth crusade was such a colossal fuck up with Crusaders sacking fellow Christians in Byzantium and seiging Constantinople, leading a broken and dying Byzantium to their doom later to the Turks, later becoming the Ottomans. Pretty much after that if didn't really matter that much anymore as it was less of a mission of God but the other Christian kingdoms seeking to politically one up the other and later on the Muslims retaking the Holy Land entirely.

Also do not think the Holy Land was just Israel middle ages edition. Both Christians and Muslims knew the dangers of the jew and persecute them every chance they got, making sure they wouldn't cause any influence whatsoever. All the Christian and Muslim kingdoms had no jewish influence whatsoever and Europe didn't fight for "muh God's chosen people", they fought to take the fight to the Muslims and retake the Holy Land for Christian pilgrimages that the Muslims denied them from.

TL;DR: The Pope launched the crusade to fight against the Muslims that was sacking and raiding southern Europe for hundreds of years, stop the internal warring of European kingdoms and unite them against the Muslims, and retake the Holy Land so Christians can pilgrimage to the Holy places again. Later on it stopped being about that and more political gains.

Well really thanks dude but fortunately that was a long time ago, thanks to god i have always been very into this stuff and i was able to organised quick enough with her family so, the guy stoped when we did the little trick of the facebook account hacking and maybe got scared or something, but it is pretty weird that this shit happened in Mexico, if we don't haved enough shit here.
It was really fuck up go through this with both 13 years old and you know, actually solved this, but well, thanks to god the girl it's fine.
