Shill threads, even locked ones or ones where you can see from the catalogue view that the user was banned, look like artilery shell holes in your local park or your neighbor's house being bombed out. It makes it very clear that your own board is a warzone, and the shills have succeeded not only in attacking, but still occupy the limited space that is on our board. It's demoralizing to see multiple shill threads in the top spots of the catalog. This is especially true because the only way to tell that a thread is locked is to try to comment on it - you can't see it from the catalog. And "user was gassed for this post" isn't visible from the catalog. I don't want heads on pikes in the top set of threads. I want a comfy home.
