It also dosn't help that academia pushes the insane as art now. The concept of standards has been reduced to a few isolated pockets of resistance. Even literature is not safe. Took a class on creative writing once, and a guest speaker lectured us on privilege. At the time I thought the SJW's were just a loud minority, but they are fucking everywhere.

It is sad but you also have to realize that many of the paintings posted here have had time to age and gain recognition. While I fully agree art has decayed as everything else has, there are still skilled painters out there. They just have to make ends meet and paint to win bread. Ive seen plenty skilled artists selling stuff like pic related. Doesn't really gain notoriety in the (((art))) world but you cannot deny the beauty and the image captured which has great meaning.
