I'd say it's rather obvious we use 0-9 and a-z to represent the first 36 numbers, so we only need to define symbols for 36-1487

why not work it like a kanji system where you have 0 through 9
10

allows for a much smaller character pool and a decent enough system of writing.

We should do what >>122406 says. It is much more practical, and examples of a base 14 system have already been developed: http://extraconversion.com/base-number/base-14 Furthermore, converting to 88 seconds in a minute could be implemented site wide. This is not only possible, but would be a funny way to identify newfags and redditors that have no idea what is going on.

Make each new "second" exactly 675/847 of a regular second. This way, we can have "minute" of 88 "seconds", "hours" of 88 "minutes", and a day will comprise 14 "hours"

I don't know about symbols, but if I remember my German correctly…
>9=nein
>10=zehn
>11=elf
>12=zwolf

There's no distinctive words for 13 or fourteen, (as they switch over to thirteen/dreizehn) but to continue a pattern:
>13=dreif (or drive)
>14=fierf? Or we could name it after we come up with a symbol for it.

Pic rel to 14.

I’m done, but by converting to base 14 we’re also losing the significance of 88 seconds, as “88” in base 14 is “64”.
Just my opinion, Ill try and find a way to get this thing uploaded somewhere.
