Raid Plan: "Brony Positivity"

What if we raided Fimfiction.net and flooded the comments of amateur fanfics written by children with encouraging and kind posts?

It might not sound like much, but it'd really piss off the site's cucked-mod-approved crybully "Cringe crew" groups.

But we need an angle to approach this from, some kind of mask to wear. If we openly say "We're saying nice things to children to piss their bullies off", it'll sound a bit stupid. What if we claimed to just really like OCs and how they "Breathe fresh air and new life into their works"?

So basically we'd be completely the opposite of our normally cynical and sarcastic selves and encourage the next generation of wannabe writers to beat the normally "feel-good" leftists at their own game?

SOUNDS GOOD.

Though, I'm still bitter about Operation: Winter Wrap Up being abandoned out of the blue. It's not even like we collectively agreed to forget about it; it simply slipped our minds and no one else has brought it back to attention.

I was thinking more like giving the kids criticism they can work with and use to improve, and encouragement to do it better. Like the encouragement we give greentext writers. A stark contrast to the "This is shit and you're cancer, and if you disagree you can't handle criticism and you should be banned" faggots who use the "It's just criticism" as a "Get out of getting criticized free" card.

Or, if we wanted this to be funny, we could go full verbose and call everything we saw the greatest thing ever, but only if it was written by amateurs.

Is fimfiction really so bad that "raiding with encouraging and kind posts" will trigger people?
Kind of glad I only ever read greens in-thread or in pastebins.

Sounds good to me. I write green semi-frequently, but I've only ever posted one fic on fimfiction. I have around 10 half-finished stories sitting unlisted there, though, and definitely say that positive feedback and just knowing someone wants more makes a great motivator for pushing through.

Honestly, having my work complemented only to discover that the complement was a lie sounds fucking awful. The end result of this is that you toy with people's emotions.

If it is fake I fully agree with you. But as I understand it, the goal is not to compliment just to compliment, we look for what is good and what we like in a story and complement that. Then give positive feedback and encouragement instead of looking for what is bad and criticise. Everyone starts somewhere and it is easy to find flaws and kill enthusiasm in early works. But given time everyone can become good.

I thought we were going to use bots, though.

In order to make a dent in a site life fimfiction... are we planning on only complementing those fics in the "new" category on the front page, or what? If that's allow e do, we would have to keep this up for like a week and have multiple people look for nice things to say on every fic.

About how many stories are posted in a week?

Sounds heartwarming.
We just need to kinda organize a little, like choicing a fic and discussing over it a little so we can make some good constructive criticism.
An irc would be good to do this, some dedicated anons might do a TL;DR of the good parts too so that everyone can comment with minimun efford.

Well, just yesterday I got a short compliment from a fellow anon. I'm not sure if it's one of you faggots are not, but I'm feeling game.
So, if possible, if this is still going, I'd like make a few suggestions:
>>Account Forgeries
Should we make similar account names? To leave a trail and gain recognition of the plan?
>>Add operations details in account bios.
It just might drag in a few others who would like to join in the feels good train and escalate the operation.

Ok, things we need
1.fake accounts
2.a proxy or whatever will be needed so that our ip isn't used to let them figure out what our normal account is
3.a date
4.a jurisdiction, so that we can effectivly flood the place in a way that will actually get noticed

most of that is up to op, but does anyone here have any understanding of how proxies and ips actually work?

Question
Why The hell do we need proxies? Fake accounts I get if you don't want your main writing account associated with it, but I highly doubt even knighty is dumb enough to ban people giving legitimate criticism, even if it is organized as a "raid".

Though I must say that this is a good idea. People generally not being an ass to me was what propeled me into becoming a halfway decent writer back in 2012 when FiMfic was booming.

Granted, I stopped writing for FiMfic about two years ago due to the generally low quality of both consumers and producers, so I don't have much of an idea of what goes on there now.

You are depending on a moderation team to be reasonable directly after you decided to kick a bees nest specifically to cause people to have unreasonable emotional REEEEactions.

>>100571
> piss off the site's cucked-mod-approved crybully "Cringe crew" groups.

Simply put, it is possible that they could just up and decide to ban people, and we wouldn't really have any real leverage with which to argue. I want to someday finish my fimfic story, danmit!

Fimfic has less than half of the traffic it had two years ago, so even a small raid should be enough to push the story onto the 'featured' page.

Quality in general is still ultra-low, but there's some real gems if you're willing to dig (or let others do the dirty work and read reviews on Royal Canterlot Library).

If you want to hide your IP simplest and best way is to get an VPN. For this purpose any and all will do (I highly doubt FiMfic is blocking VPNs).
There is a few free options out there, but they are generally slower and less reliable. But you can as an example try installing Opera browser - go to "private browsing" and use the built in free VPN there.
But you can get paid VPNs for down to $3 a month (probably other cheaper options out there; been a while since I looked) that is well suited for this, and more, that will be faster and more reliable.

Personally I suggest NordVPN. I pay about $80/year and it hasn't affected my internet speed at all. The UI is also pretty idiot proof if you can't into IT.

So, if we're doing this I can offer my services as someone who can teach basic writing techniques.

So far, I suggest picking through the New section and finding fics with interesting premises and going through them. I feel that if we uplift people with unique ideas this will drive them to improve on good ideas, whereas we don't pick Self-Insert in Equestrian #230174 because it would only inspire them to make MORE of that tired subgenre. Get what I'm saying?

Yep a real VPN service is the best option as it gives you so much more functionality and speed (get around pesky region-/country-locked streaming services).

Oh, yes. Remember that "DataBass" happening, where one kid and two friends he made along the way standing up to a group of bullies got him 120 downvotes, got him harassed daily by fucktons of cancerous consumers and moderators(ESPECIALLY MEESTER) using the "It isn't raiding you're just paranoid and you can't take criticism" excuse, got his fics added to every "Bad fanfiction" group, and eventually got all three banned? He saved over 300 negative comments on archive.is, I think I bookmarked them in one of my brony folders.
>>101833
Agreed. Fuck the HiE circlejerk, we'll be focusing on original stories with original premises and original characters.

Now, how do we find them?
