The Waukesha Christmas Parade Trial is set to start October 3rd.
In November 21. 2021 Darrell E. Brooks Jr. drove his SUV into the Waukesha Christmas Parade killing 6 people and injuring 62.
The six victims killed in the Waukesha parade attack were Jackson Sparks, 8; Tamara Durand, 52; Jane Kulich, 52; LeAnna Owen, 71; Virginia "Granny" Sorenson, 79; and Wilhelm, 81.
Four of the six people killed were affiliated with a dancing group of older women called the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, known for carrying pompoms and entertaining crowds with synchronized routines.
The trial is ramping up to be a potential fun shitshow where Darrell E. Brooks is going full SovCit. He has requested to represent himself and time will tell if the Judge will accept his request. He is doing classic SovCit script where he don't "under stand" and don't know how a State can be "victim" prosecuting a case.

Yep. Don't think he has any real defense aside from perhaps some attempts at mitigating arguments. So I don't see any other outcome than life without parole.
My guess is this is the reason he has gotten some "advice" from fellow prisoners and is trying the SovCit route and "How can a State be the injured party?" thinking he will be able to end the trial that way. It is a futile attempt and will just lead to him aggravating the court and get on the bad side of the judge and jury. If he is allowed to defend himself I have no doubt that he will be an asshole against the witnesses and it won't help him at all. But since he have no actual defense I assume he just want to drag this out with meaningless nonsense and make it a shitshow.

The prosecutor will only use enough witnesses to prove the case and what happened. The state have not used any people injured in the incident as much as they have been able to.
They have one piece of evidence that is really good that shows all that happened along the route and who and where they were struck.

I think his main "defense" so far is that The State of Wisconsin have not appeared in court (he even wrote a subpoena for the State that was rejected). So he is trying to say The State can't be injured party and he has not able to face his accuser "The State".
Whenever someone says "Darrell Brooks" he says "he does not consent to be called that and he don't know anyone by that name".
He objects to nearly every question the prosecutor asks with nonsense reason. Like "Hearsay" when the prosecutor ask witness to describe what they see in a picture. "Hearsay" I think is his favorite go to objection.

Brooks refused to answer if he wanted to testify and after repeatedly being asked and refusing to answer the judge ruled that he forfeited the right to testify. Both Defense and Prosecutor have therefor rested (was no rebuttal from state). So all testimony and evidence is in and rest of the day will be spent finalizing jury instruction and such.
