/mlpol/ Movie NightYep, you read that right. There will be a movie stream tonight as we're all trapped in our homes, slowly going insane thanks to
corona AGGGGGHHHHHHH.
We'll be watching the MLP, and then after we can decide if we want to watch some show episodes or just repeat the movies while shitposts occur as has always happened historically.
We'll start the movie at
REMINDER: Program commences at 5:30 PST instead of 6:30. If this time works out it will likely be the new starting time going forward.Link is

The stream is rolling along! I'll be AFK for a while, though. Please address any complaints to whomever seems to have seniority in the chatroom. It won't help anything, but it'll be funny.
Good evening, gentlecolts. Tonight's selections will be:
Winchester '73 (1950)
The timeless tale of a rifle and the men who loved her.
Medea (1988)
Danish adaptation of the Jason and Medea story by Euripides.
マイリトルポニー~トモダチは魔法~
LUCKY PONY SLUTTO
S2 Eps 15-18
Program will start at 5:30 PST/8:30 EST as usual, or whenever Flappy's thing concludes, which should be roughly around that time.
Pre-Stream is over now! Time to swap to the movies!
https://www.pon3.stream/view/07e9a98f-5ee7-4b61-9f84-7578821db05b/Room is open, a little earlier than was announced. I'll give everyone some time to head in, we'll get started in about 10-15 min.
It's that time again. Tonight we are back to a one-movie schedule as Flappy will be showing a couple of the pony anthologies during his stream.
Tonight's film will be:
Hamlet (1990)
The porcine equivalent of a manlet.
マイリトルポニー~トモダチは魔法~
LUCKY PONY SLUTTO
S2 Eps 19-22
Program will commence at the end of Flappy's stream, most likely around 6:30 PST / 9:30 EST.
>>345063>HamletLiterally me!
Just doing some last-minute setup (again).
Pre-Stream Pony of the week is Spitfire.
Stream is ready to go!
As discussed last week, we'll have the pre-stream, then we'll watch the Pony Anthology series. I think we saw Pony Anthology 1 a month or two ago, so this stream will have Pony Anthology 2. These Anthologies will be like the Turnabout Storm in that they will take up the first movie slot of the night.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylSee you soon!
Pre-Stream is DONE.
Now on to the Movie Stream.
Movie is DONE.
Now on to Moon Ponies.
Hi everyone!
The Pre-Stream playlist is set up. It'll be the pre-stream stuff, and then I'll add the Pony Anthology 3 from the archive link like last week. We've got a couple of themed sections in the pre-stream. Delta Vee's Junkyard series, a couple of Spitfire related videos, and a collection of alicorn electro swing songs to wrap up the pre-stream before the Anthology.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylI'll start the stream with the first arrival.
Pony of the week this time is Celestia.
Hi all, sorry about the late announcement.
Tonight's movie will be:
O Brother Where Art Thou?
Last week we did Hamlet, this week we do The Odyssey. We wuz classy Westerners an sheeit.
マイリトルポニー~トモダチは魔法~
Last four episodes of S2 tonight, and then we are sadly done with Lucky Pony Slutto. However, I have the Nip dub of the 2017 movie, which we will do next week.
Show will begin whenever Flappy's stream concludes, probably around 6:30 PST / 9:30 EST.
That's a wrap for the first part of the Pre-Stream. We're on to the Pony Anthology 3.
The Pre-Stream is done.
As
>>345367 Suggests, it's time to move to the Movie Stream.
What a wild ride thanks frens and lucky pone sluttos.
And that's a full (or extra-full) night.
The final slut of MoonPones was Cadance.
Good night, and have a good week.
It's that time again. Our film for this evening shall be:
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (1990)
Suggested by Pupper. Much like Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, the title sort of gives away the ending, but we can still pretend to be surpised.
As to the horse feature, I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that, alas, we have run out of officially dubbed Moon Rune pones. However, the first bit of good news is that we still have the official dub of the 2017 movie, which we will be watching tonight. The second bit of good news is that apparently, the Disney Channel produced a Japanese overdub for S3 and S4. YayPonies has versions of these episodes, which are basically just the iTunes rips of the episodes with the Japanese audio substituted for English. However, they are unsubbed. If I can find subs for them by next week, we will continue with Moon Rune ponies (though sadly, they will no longer feature the anime-style openings or the Lucky Pony Slutto segments). If I can't, then I will figure out something else horse-related for next week (worst case scenario we just go back to watching the show in English).
I'm assuming Flappy will be doing his usual pre-stream show, so the movie will commence as soon as his stream wraps up; usually around 6:30 PST / 9:30 EST.
I'd say I'm changing up the format of the pre-stream night by a bit, but I'm really just fucking around. There's all 7 parts of a 6 part animatic series in here, one 14-minute gaming pony animation thing that I watched 15 seconds of to check for animation and audio quality, and some small non-pony stuff because I thought it was funny.
That makes for much less music than usual.
The Pony of the Week is going to by Lyra, to complement this whimsy and deliberate chicanery.
Room will open in ten minutes.
Alright there, folks, you know what time it is! The stream will start with the first couple of arrivals. The first couple of videos are 30 seconds to a minute long, so get there quick so you can get the whole pre-stream experience!
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
The first leg of the pre-stream has concluded, and we are now into the Anthology portion.
Since Anthology 4 looks to be just a 6 minute ad for Bronycon 2014, we'll be watching Anthology 5 as well.
The Anthology section for this week is airing it's credits. We'll be moving to the movies shortly.
I think I might have suggested Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are dead. Either way, it's one of my favourite movies. It's gonna be a good night.
>>345603Forgot my capcode but this is me, movie room is open.
I got too close to all the pony content and got lost in it far later in the night than I intended.
In only a matter of hours, I will find my way back to consciousness.
The pre-stream will definately start later than usual today. After-work stuff took a lot longer than usual.
I'm on the way home now and I estimate it'll take 25-35 minutes to get it running.
Sounds like we may be getting a late start tonight. This evening's film will be:
Paper Moon (1973)Followed by:
Moon Rune Pones (2013)Found subs for S3, so we will continue with S3 of the Nippones.
Show will commence whenever Flappy's stream wraps up.
>>345602I never noticed this before, but if you rotate Pic 1 on its side, Lyra's tail looks like she is shitting rocket fuel and launching herself into space.
Pre-Stream is ready to go! We'll kick things off when people arrive, which I assume will be soon.
I decided to skip spending the time to prune the list, so given the late start time, we may be skipping this week's Anthology, depending on audience feedback.
Pre-stream pony of the week is Bon Bon.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
The Pre-Stream has officially kicked off! Get your butts in here sooner rather than later to fully experience all the content there is this week!
Anthology has begun, we will start the movie in approximately 1 hour from the time of this post.
Anthology 6 is out of runtime, and I'm out of fucks to give about managing the Pre-Stream with only SFW images. This isn't a blue board here.
Time for the movies!
>>345926>This isn't a blue board here.You're damn right.
Those wanting a sissy board can move to derpibooru.
The movie's still going on, but I have to head to sleep for the night.
The videos that were suggested will be added to next week's rotation. Remember, last week also has Anthology 7, the last one, in it.
Thanks eveeyone, I think I crashwd during horse
Pre-stream may be a bit different this week, as I'm much drunkjer than usual. I made the playlist on an earlier day, at least. Gotta sober up and look at it with clear eyes, right?
Poney of the week is declared to be Octavia. I just picked her to be at the end of my folder, so I know what other images I can send to the thread. during the event.
I'll start up the room soon, and start the actual stream with the first guest proper.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylHere's the stream, ready to go, though I think I might be a bit late in replying, so we'll see how things go.
Evening all. Tonight's film selection will be:
Flesh and Blood (1985)
followed by our usual spirited bout of equestro-nipponese wackiness.
Show will commence whenever Flappy's pre-stream wraps up, probably around 6:30 PST / 9:30 EST if past experience can be relied upon.
Watching the Anthology right now. It's great so far. You're missing out! Come on in!
Looks like I passed out during Anthology 7 and missed the movie stuff. From what bits I could see from the chat, it looks like it was a good stream.
See you guys next week.
Hey all, just letting you know that I'm going to be otherwise occupied tonight and won't be able to show a movie. Sorry. Our regularly scheduled program will continue next week.
>>346663Oh? Alright, then.
I have the playlist prepped, but I'm okay with putting the pause on for this week. We've got three days of the online convention to keep us going.
So, there is no stream now. Right?
>>346663For an encore at the end of the movie or between movies, how about a short silent film of "Our Gang"?
Derby Day is pretty good,
Dogs of War but the first is hoers-themed.
>>346751>our gangBased and old-pilled
Oh, as it's Canada Day, I'll be out celebrating it with some friends. If someone else wants to take over the pre-stream tonight, that would be great.
I just make a YT playlist of pony content that's about an hour long, and plug that into my CyTube room, adding the whole playlist at once. It's probably easiest if you have your own CyTube account, but if someone really doesn't want to use their own CyTube room, I can look in to adding them as an Admin or Moderator of my room for this week. I don't know exactly how those features work, but all we need is the ability for one person to add a playlist of their stuff to the room.
Since it sounds like Flappy will be out celebrating some made-up Canadian holiday, there may or may not be a pre-show this week. As such, start time tonight will be a little ambiguous. We'll see what things look like once it gets closer to our usual start time.
As to my segment of the night's entertainment, I've decided that I like the idea proposed by
>>346751 . I found a collection of the old Our Gang shorts, and I also have a collection of the old Merrie Melodies/Looney Tunes cartoons. I've decided it would be fun to do movie night the way movie theaters used to, with a short cartoon and a serial shown before the movie itself. The shorts are roughly 25 min each, and the cartoons are usually about 5 min, so this shouldn't seriously impact our overall runtime. We'll try it this week, and if people like it we'll keep doing it.
Anyway, here is the program for tonight:
Looney Tunes: Congo Jazz (1930)Our Gang: Small Talk (1929)Gods and Generals (part 1 of 3) (2003)This is one I've been wanting to show for awhile now, but have been hesitant due to the fact that it's unironically like six hours long. The version I have is split into three separate files, and each file is about 1.5 hours long, or in other words the length of an ordinary movie. So, I've decided to show it in parts. We'll watch the first hour and a half this week, followed by the second hour and a half next week, and so on in that fashion, until the third and final hour and a half, which will be shown on the third week.
I've never actually seen this movie and can't vouch for its overall quality, but some things I've heard about it make me feel like it will be a good time investment; namely that it was universally panned by critics and compared unfavorably to the same director's other civil war movie,
Gettysburg (1993). The reason for this had less to do with the film's overall quality and more to do with its sympathetic portrayal of the South:
>Gods and Generals is widely viewed as championing the Lost Cause ideology by creating a presentation more favorable to the Confederacy.[10][11] Writing in The Journal of American History, historian Steven E. Woodworth derided the movie as a modern-day telling of Lost Cause mythology.[10] Woodworth called the movie "the most pro-Confederate film since Birth of a Nation, a veritable celluloid celebration of slavery and treason." He summed up his reasons for disliking the movie by saying:>Gods and Generals brings to the big screen the major themes of Lost Cause mythology that professional historians have been working for half a century to combat. In the world of Gods and Generals, slavery has nothing to do with the Confederate cause. Instead, the Confederates are nobly fighting for, rather than against, freedom, as viewers are reminded again and again by one white southern character after another.[10]So, in summation, this feels like a good selection for July 4 (or thereabouts).
Anyway, we will follow this up with our usual screening of Nipponese pony episodes. Since there are only five episodes left in S3 and we (probably) won't have a pre-stream this week, I was thinking of just showing all five.
Unless someone volunteers for a pre-show, I'm going to tentatively aim for a
4:30 PST / 7:30 EST start time, so roughly an hour from the time of this post. Keep an eye on the thread as times may change. Hope to see you all there.
https://www.pon3.stream/view/07e9a98f-5ee7-4b61-9f84-7578821db05b/I've gone ahead and opened the room, we can start as soon as people show up.
SO MUCH MARE AND HORS.
Yet, yet there is always room for more Mares and Snowpitty in our hearts.
Thanks everyone for inviting them into the cockles of home, hearth and heart.
>>347181>PurpleSuch a hot ass.
Hey all. Haven't heard from Flappy yet so I'm not sure if we're doing a pre-show this week, but here is tonight's movie program:
Looney Tunes: The Booze Hangs High (1930)
Our Gang: Railroadin' (1929)
Gods and Generals (part 2/3) (2003)
Mai Rittaru Poni: The Bombing of Pearl Harbor
S4 eps 1-4.
Since I haven't heard otherwise, I'm going to assume that Flappy will be doing his usual pre-show, and we will start after his program ends. Either way, I'm going to aim for a start time of around 5:30 PST / 8:30 EST.
Welp, no sign of Flappy this week, so I am going to just get the room up and we can start whenever people wander in.
https://www.pon3.stream/view/07e9a98f-5ee7-4b61-9f84-7578821db05b/
>>347564Sorry I'm late enough to not be able to do the pre-show.
In my defense, Canada just had a major internet and phone service outage that lasted from just before 6am EST until right about now.
No internet, no phone service, no banking with debit cards (though apparently debit cards with a certain bank service worked, and credit cards were supposed to work). Apparently, not even 911 calls worked. Major outages today.
I have the playlist from an earlier week ready to go, but it's nearly a full hour of content. Starting it this late probably wouldn't be a great idea, but I'll keep an eye on the thread in case you still want to run the pre-show.
>>347567lmao speak of the devil.
no worries, I'm ready to go with movies as soon as everyone else is. we can probably save the preshow playlist for next week.
Sorry everyone, stream is kill for tonight. We will reconvene next week with the conclusion of Gods and Generals. In the meantime, please enjoy this horse pornography.
>>347588>Sorry everyone, stream is kill for tonight.F
Evening gents, it's that time again. Due to the technical issues we experienced last week, I've reduced the stream resolution down to 768x432, which I'm hoping will make us less taxing on pon3's resources. I've run some tests and it doesn't look like picture quality has been seriously reduced. I think it's an acceptable tradeoff. If we still experience speed issues I'll try reducing the frame rate down to 30 fps next week, and if after that we still have issues, I might consider going back to JoshWho for movie night. If anyone more knowledgeable than I am about the technical aspects of streaming video has any additional suggestions for how to improve stream performance, I'm open.
Anyway, we only had about ten minutes left on part 2 of G&G last time, so we'll be watching the remainder of part 2 + part 3 tonight. Beyond that our schedule remains the same; if Flappy has a pre-show for us we will begin whenever his stream wraps up. Otherwise, we'll plan on starting around 5:30 PST / 8:30 EST.
Looney Tunes: Smile, Darn Ya, Smile! (1931)
Our Gang: Boxing Gloves (1929)
Gods and Generals (remainder of Part 2 + Part 3 of 3) (2003)
The Confederasah shall rise again.
Nipponyos Part IV, The Quickening (1948, colorized)
S4 Eps 1-4.
>>348101I actually have two weeks of playlists ready to go, and made them before Canada Day.
This week's playlist has a chunk dedicated to non-pony animation.
I declare that Pony Of The Week for tonight is Trixie.
Whelp, I've got the playlist for the pre-stream ready to go whenever we're ready. I'm aiming to start up about 30 minutes from now on the hour.
Pony of the week is Applebloom.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylAs usual, the playlist will start as people begin to arrive. I plan to go for about an hour. It's a music-heavy playlist this time.
See you there.
Sorry about the late notice, running a bit late. Tonight's selections will be:
Merrie Melodies: One More Time (1931)
Our Gang: Lazy Days (1929)
The Bounty (1984)
We will begin our program as soon as Flappy's commences, probably around 5:30ish.
Room open, everypony get in here
Here the thingy referenced. Nice thing is the search function works alright.
>Talking about PETA doing shit, with the fundamental ethics is kill all the things.
As a seemingly isolated ponerlogical (evil stemming) system it mirrors (((New world order, world economic forum))) stances along with the now destroyed (((Georgia guide stones))).
Because it also matches with Planned Parenthood (youth sacrificial organization). As in killing of the future.
More to the point it follows the same (((playbook)))
Now 'schizo' time
The hostile entities desire the destruction of the metaphorical and literal light. As in the end of creation/creating.
So what's the big deal? It's just a few seemingly imaginary ideas floating around.
However, because they seek the removal of all light. Anything or amything related to it is worthless for them (it is actively antithetical for them). So the best move they would do is offer those light based things through proxies to accomplish the checkmate regardless of cost.
The reason why they have to disclose what terrible things they will do is to not contain the light inside them. As they do in various sacrificial procedures.
Else they have proxies that as in their natural nature to be of the light to hold the light to snuff it out because that too is a by product of the light.
Which means they only have a range of ways to actually permanently kill creation.* (*How they can go about doing things is vastly limited compared to beings that are actually supposed to be here and to help. Which is why proxy beings that are hostile yet belong to an extent and also are 'easily' manipulated are used.)
Stream will begin when people start arriving!
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylOne of this week's features is Missing Out, an animation by Minty Root. We also have two pairs of songs here. An original, and a cover of that song. (One of the songs is a cover of a cover.) I'm also starting to put the Pony Zone audio things in here for the finale.
I have also made it possible to post images directly into the CyTube chat, so that should be fun.
Pony Of The Week for this week is Derpy Hooves.
Sorry gang, I completely spaced out what day it was. I'm in a bit of a rush getting things together, but we are still on for tonight.
Looney Tunes: Bosko the Doughboy
Our Gang: Bouncing Babies
The Deer Hunter (1978)
Ponies in Japanese
Unfortunately I forgot to prepare the edits of the Jap episodes with the opening and ending changed, and at this point I'm not going to have time to get them done before showtime, so this week we will be back to the standard openings. I will try to have the better openings ready for next week. Sorry about that.
Show will commence as soon as Flappy's prestream wraps up.
Things are going well in the Pre-Stream.
>>348851Wonderful.
Anyone else gonna do their daily cardio? Jog on over to the room and hang out while you relax.

>>348853Why are you talking about Pon3? I'm not using it.
>>348853Do you have a preference for a different streaming site? It seems like pon3 has periodic speed issues, so I would be amenable to using another service if anyone has suggestions.
>>348853>Pon3 doesnt work for everyone. The TeaTime Stream works great for me.
Pre-Stream is done. Move on over to the main movie.
I think things went well.
Pony(?) of the week is Chrysalis.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylStream will start when people start to arrive.
With the image posting ability that I put into the CyTube chat, I tried throwing a few "challenges" to people to post specific themes of images. If the song was about Rainbow Dash, the challenge was to post an RD-related image into the chat before the song ended. I think it might be fun to try doing that a bit more. What do people think about that? Of course, you can use the chat as normal and chill out to the music and animations that we have in the playlist. This is just to use some of the features we have access to and get a little more interaction when the chat seems to have slowed down.
Stream time is now!!!
Post Chrysalis -> get MLP music and animations!
We have another Pony Zone video coming up at the end of the Pre-Stream in a little while. Come on over if you don't want to miss it.
https://www.pon3.stream/view/63abfd5a-dc63-4b4b-ab66-6e5ee2b719b0/Elway can't make it tonight, so I will be filling in. Movies tonight will be a bit off theme, but I think they will still be fun. First up, Stargate the movie from 1994. Then I am going to try a movie called Runestone from 1991. Then it will be My Little Pony episodes to finish off the night.
The thread no longer appears on overboard. Do we need a new one?
>>349175Is it because we passed 700 replies? If so, then probably.
Should a specific person make the thread? I'm not going to be up to it until tomorrow at the earliest.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylWe decided to swap back to the cytube to watch ponies. We found a way to stream it there without lag buffering.
