Does there exist a decently convenient, somewhat anonymous way to post on 4chan? If so, how is it done?

Lurking /g/ and installgentoo.wiki has come up with tips that may or may not help, such as:
- Disabling JavaScript (you need JS to post)
- Using someone else's IP
- Setting a different DNS service in browser or via OS
- Not using Winblows or Mac
- Use HTTPS
- Use a VPN or TOR (rangebanned)
- Using a secure, hardened browser
- Use a virtual machine(...?)
- Avoid cameras
- Don't doxx yourself (most important)

Any others? Just how anonymous would using whatever of the above tips, that you could, make you? I hate to say it but ponerfrens on /mlp/ are struggling against the cancerous hordes, and I think we could use the fresh blood. There might be some shills that come over here but generally speaking I think it would be in /mlpol/'s best interest if we got some more poner newfaggots in a calculated manner (dropping into Aryanne threads on occasion and saying please come over, perhaps even saging to only attract those that are already watching them).
If this is a bad idea please let me know and I could use the information to (safely) shitpost over there instead.

This is the safest. Check Kali Linux out and don't forget to change your MAC.
BTW, in the States that might be against the government's laws.

I'm assuming you mean changing a MAC? That's kind of odd... but there can't be anything illegal about going to a library or using Kali.

no there isn't. you're better off learning to network and creating a /pone/ /mlp/ competitor. At a certain point privacy is important, but in terms of a community like this, we actually lose more from protecting privacy than embracing openness (not usernames, just simply having persistent acceptance of datamining and tracking).

The applications of datamining for good are vast, and since the enemy will uncover and dox us without being beholden to their own felony charges like we are, theres nearely no reason to keep our identities under wraps except to not give them a free lunch. you can nickle and dime them this way, but privacy can be its own liability in enemy territory like this since it denies us the ability to see what the enemy does and synthesize new conclusions based on that data.

How is this data used? Well for a start I dont own a 4chan competitor, and I wouldnt post my ideas flagrantly here to be perused anyway, but if you cant think of a few ways to use the data yourself, then you should spend some 5 minutes a day thinking about it until you come up with some ideas. Theyre pretty cool

It's about to hack somebody else's router. To change the MAC is to cover the tracks.

Of course you should always keep in mind that everything is being datamined and if someone competent that has enough resources could find you and wanted to, they would. But this doesn't sound quite right to me.

Peace of mind is valuable; it's not really about them at all.

>privacy can be its own liability in enemy territory like this since it denies us the ability to see what the enemy does and synthesize new conclusions based on that data.
How would that be an argument against protecting your own identity while posting on 4chan? The worst it would do is introduce a bit of noise; should you have that kind of information in the first place.

Mate, if I wanted to spend all day thinking about how I'd implement ML algorithms I'd get a graduate degree. This is about privately shitposting and getting poners to come to /mlpol/.

It's possible to post on a VPN/proxy it needs to have dedicated IP addresses, if the IP isn't shared it should fool them into thinking it's a residential IP and it's you posting from that country. This what most users that are posting from rare flags are doing.

If its about peace of mind then you need to reread what I wrote because I literally told you thats an impossible objective without going off grid.

It wouldn't necessarily, however there's a reason I also said your time would be better spent creating and marketing a 4chan alternative. You are developing a way to have your neck survive a lion or tiger bite instead of just removing the tigers.
>Mate, if I wanted to spend all day thinking about how I'd implement ML algorithms I'd get a graduate degree.
Thinking is the hardest work there is, theres no shame in admitting you are lazy though I guess.
>This is about.. getting poners to come to /mlpol/
They never will. this board had its chance to create a dedicated mlp board and chose not to because they screetched that it wasnt something that this site culture wanted for itself. It's pretty obvious that the creators of this site that visit /mlp/ treat it as their home with how much direct collaboration was done on 4cuck to create ponerpics. but as for this shithole? Most people do not want to sit side by side with politics. It's just a reality. Most of us are redpilled as fuck, but we don't come to mlp to talk about /pol/ topics. We come to talk about pony. This board will never be a home for /mlp/ without that dedicated pony board, and they already went on record telling me theyre never going to make one.

To invite pone friens you have to invite poner friens.
Have a thread they might like and give them an invite. Especially creating a new thread of valuable interest is a good thing for engagement and fun posting.
>>304024
Oh it's you.
>We come to talk about pony. This board will never be a home for /mlp/ without that dedicated pony board, and they already went on record telling me theyre never going to make one.
Too bad you can't make a poner thread that only contains pony wooooow.
>>303944
>Become the data collectors.
>Fuck the original union that idea is too much!
Yes you could use such data in a variety of ways but in the end peak posting times that are already collected and already exist data analysis with regards to posts. IE the stuff that is already available can have interesting uses.
But, at that point it's a double edged sword. So if that's how you want to do stuff.
Anyway about having a dedicated pony board.
The MLH thread despite the horror of being on /mlpol/ is existing. It's flawed and the discussion that goes on is limited, but for this case it's new and it's existence is continued.
The Rarity thread is still alive a thread dedicated solely about Rarity.
Then there is threads about the gen5 mlp and the fuckery going on.
And the Anonfilly threads which is still going strong.
And many many more.
<Especially creating a new thread of valuable interest is a good thing for engagement and fun posting.
That's all. I'm the same person who 'suggested' this because it works.
/mlpol/ is home for all ponies, all of them no matter what.
I have seen exactly one user who demands the sole existence of pony board thread without friends. I am most likely biased but you don't need to drag everyone down with you.
After all you're still here, and the ponies can be if you let them in with joy and friendship in your heart.

See, I thought you might be looking for ways to be condescending, and I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I suppose you insist. In which case, if you want to create a 4chan alternative there's nothing keeping you; and I hope that you indeed do, so that you'd be busy enough to not let everyone here know how smart you are without putting in any of the work yourself. Sheesh.

A fine idea. I have to say that it might be a bit much for me at the present time to do such a thing. I was hoping to start a bit smaller, is what I'm trying to say.

To go and stir /mpl/ once in a while is fun, to go and burn many proxies is not.
Don't forget that /mpl/ like most 4cuck is hostile territory.

Fair enough. Am I right in getting the impression that /mlpol/ is fine without a bit of fresh blood? I often find myself bumping a bunch of threads all at once; I just figure there could be a few more friendly anons here and there to fill in the cracks between the more thought-out, longer posts, friendship and pic related.
