Twitter decided to "fact check" one of Trump's Tweets and that really seemed to piss him off. He is now singing an executive order to end tech company censorship. Here is a draft:

Maybe that is what they want. They make money from porn of the child style and they are worrying about legislation to force them to be responsible. If they get told by presidential order not to interfere with what people say/do on their platform they can keep the kiddy porn revenue and not spend it on staffing cost having to moderate stuff.

Nice. Only thing I think the draft is missing (that stood out to me) was a mention of YouTube and how it censors free speech, but I guess section 6 covers this.
When Trump signs this I see a few possible outcomes that will happen. Twitter, FB and the like will do nothing hoping they can influence the election enough to get Biden into the WH and get him to counter the Executive Order. Another possibility, equal likely, is that they will do nothing and drag it out in court for a decade if Biden don't win, or the agencies that is suppose to enact the order will do nothing. Or lastly, abate probably least likely, they will either become a true service provider or become editorial sites.

>>269764
That is also an option. But no platform (with a minimum of decency) wants CP on it, so I guess (read hope) they won't stop removing CP from their sites. But it would not surprise me one bit if they reduced moderator staffing to a bare minimum.

My question is how this order will affect these platforms in other countries. As multinationals based in the US, they're required to follow this order, but they are also bound by the rules in places like EU, which have stringent censorship requirements. Are we about to see a split in the internet between Europe and America, at least in the realm of social media? I, for one, hope so. For globalists with the agenda of forcing its widespread adoption, the internet has been one of their greatest tools for homogenising the ideas of the world's people, where before the internet, the globalisation of political ideologies was far more limited.

On the other hand, while a move like this will be ostensibly good for the US, it may spell doom for the rest of the west. Without the US constitution shackling social media to whatever little extent it currently does, Europe may decide to go full steam ahead on its censorship agenda, instituting a chinese style separation of the internet from those places that are more free.

This is basically an ideological cold war, isn't it?

How many Brits do you think would move to America if they started addressing the leftist problems?
They'll probably never address the jew problem there.
But addressing the leftist problems is a start.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, last I checked, American "Leftists values" are considered actually rather Conservative over in Europe.

It's bait and switch again.
The draft puts the FCC in charge to "explore" what can be done, which will take months of back and forth and as usual, it's tactic to do nothing while entertaining the public.
Sorry OP but Trump has been taking us all for a ride from the very beginning.

The left problem in the uk and us is different. The uk far right parties are on the left compared to the us. Just think of the pub when people all put money in a jar and then take what they need for the next round. That is basic communism.

I have no idea what immigration is like now but in the past the green card lottery was not open to the English because too many of them already got to live in the us. However all the countries of colour were allowed to apply. As an English person who has only been to the us once (las-vegas/new mexico) I have very little desire to go back.
Admittedly its a fucking big country and my experience is tiny but when a stewardess takes beer from me because I have not purchased the shit they serve on the plane I have no desire to live in such a fucked up country.

As for social media laws in the UK the govs for decade have procrastinated because they all want somewhere to move onto in the future. They will do nothing but talk about it. What they should do is just block them all at IP level. No one really needs twat and fuckbook. Very little is lost if YT goes. Only google search has any real value and it appears that Google as a company is being left out. Only its substandard ventures are included.

>Don’t Get Excited About The White House’s Social Media Censorship Executive Order
>According to reports the White House has a drafted an executive order to address social media censorship by targeting Section 230 of the CDA. If reporting on the current draft is correct then this is bad, very bad. It’s easy to get excited that action is finally being taken against the Silicon Valley oligarchs, but this isn’t the right solution. At all.
>Section 230 protects American companies from foreign authorities with far less liberal speech regimes than our own. Using executive power to water down Section 230 is a horrible idea and will inevitably harm alternative technology startups like Gab in the long run.

That's Maga-pede talk! No seriously, that's a valid argument that will be summarily ignored, because it's easier than critical thinking. Too many ppl forget that in chess (or whatever) their opponent gets to move too.

This has a wide array of answers, but imho and to make a combo all-in-one: Trump is the guy chosen to take the fall dragging with him the conservative-nationalist movement, he is doing it as instructed and willingly.
There isn't another explanation to so much incompetence, empty announcements, empty promises, empty threats and 3 years of continuous dereliction to deliver the MAGA agenda.

For a better understanding of the Trump trap I would like to introduce you the following:
>Constitutional Scholar Says Trump Is Carrying Out The Globalist Agenda
>We are collapsing at a rapidly increasing rate.
>Trump is carrying out the globalist agenda. And as he is doing that, he contradicts his actions with words and sleight of hand actions to pacify his base: e./g., he says he opposes globalism – but he signed and pushed the CFR’s USMCA “Trade Agreement”. He says he wants a wall between the United States and Mexico, and even started to build one – but he pushed the USMCA “Trade Agreement” which provides for open borders.
>I’ve concluded that he is either solidly & consciously allied with the globalists [and was elected to get the “conservatives” on board (which he has done)]; or he is way over his head and is blindly following his CFR advisors. He is extraordinarily ignorant of our Constitution [which he took an Oath to “preserve, protect and defend”]; but my chickens know as much about our Constitution as Trump does.
>The American People are being played by those who plan to destroy them – but they REFUSE to listen to the Truth. I have warned them that the globalists are setting up an international monetary system controlled by the IMF [this is laid out in USMCA “Trade Agreement”] to replace the collapsing federal reserve system. And NOW, it seems that the globalists are DELIBERATELY crashing the federal reserve system. WHY? Because that is the excuse they will use to move us into the new globalist monetary system under the IMF. And all those Americans with fiat money in their bank accounts and pensions, etc. [who will lose it all when the fed collapses] will be told that under the new global monetary system, their savings will be protected. And they will go along with it and urge that the new system be imposed.
>That so many Americans went along with the monstrously unconstitutional lock-downs over the non-threatening virus reveals that Americans are now mindless, cowardly, self-centered idiots.
>There are people who believe every word “Q” says. The highest value for most contemporary Americans is to feel good – and Q makes them feel good – and allows them to ignore the contradictions between Trump’s words and his actions: It’s all part of The Plan, you see.

Excuse me, where? The closest thing there is to an "open border" policy in the agreement is: http://archive.vn/sGg7g
> Ensure that data can be transferred cross-border, and that limits on where data can be stored and processed are minimized, thereby enhancing and protecting the global digital ecosystem.
