No communication is "safe." If you're planning something mischievous then exchange coded physical letters. In terms of just friendly/edgy chat I don't know but it's probably better than Discord.
It's a normie tier solution.
It would be all for friendly and edgy conversation. I just don't want to get in trouble for thought crime.>>264404
Why? Is it as bad as discord where they openly work with the ADL or something?

Not using discord' servers is a blessing, but my point was that no traffic is safe if it's using a hostile road.
Perhaps blending with the background noise is the answer OP is looking, I mean stealth.
I am OP. I'm not looking for stealth. I just don't want some journo or HR cunt to find out that I'm a shitposter.
I found a video commenting Riot at 3:33>Best Open Source Alternatives To Discord!https://www.bitchute.com/video/PlYOzdIYe2sd/
>>264399>what can I use to communicate with friends?
Don't use WhatsApp/DickSword/Faceberg/Twatter/etc. I don't know if Riot is secure/private or not. I recommend using Signal https://www.signal.org/
and emails that have been encrypted with GnuPG https://gnupg.org/
if you use windows (you can also use MSYS2 or Cygwin to get the cli version of GnuPG on windows) Just to clarify the terminology, GnuPG (aka GPG) is an implementation of PGP https://ssd.eff.org/en/glossary/pgp
For more info on how to use enigmail, see https://ssd.eff.org/en/module/how-use-pgp-windows
Do not trust the webmail to encrypt your messages. Generate your own encryption keys and encrypt your messages on your computer and copy-paste it on the webmail or use a email client (e.g. Thunderbird + enigmail or Mutt). Also, if you send images/files, make sure to delete the metadata before you post it (encrypt it, too)
Physically control the server you connect to Riot, use encryption and it's peak opsec.
i have previously used riot. im not a big fan and don't know if its "safe". PGP?
