I like everything but I am predominately into industrial music. (think Foetus, Laibach, NON, Author + Punisher, Godflesh, Einsturzende Neubauten, Wolf Eyes, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails etc). I'm also partial to metal (death/thrash/grind/etc) and some softer things from time to time.

Mostly drum and bass here. I've been getting back into the Offspring recently.

Really any kind of metal/rock/punk kind of thing.
Things are Motorhead, Metalica, AC/DC, Nirvana, Led Zepellin, Dio, Guns N Roses are some that come to mind currently, but not limited to.

But usually I don't really care that much. depending on my mood and activity i might listen do instrumental, swing, nightcore or even some piano tunes.

As a musician I listen to and appreciate pretty much everything, but my current favorite stuff is Steel Panther.

They're hilarious, they absolutely lampoon both metal and themselves, and at the same time they compose and play some of the best glam metal ever recorded. Listen to their records on good headphones and you'll hear all sorts of little details that are both genius and also homage to all the music that influenced them.

While most people just like to be entertained by SP's humor, just like with the Marx Brothers (Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Karl) if you pay attention you'll realize "holy shit, these motherfuckers are gooooood."

This cover is an example of what I'm talking about. There's dozens of little touches in here that are brilliant and hilarious. The singer has a Ph.D. from Berkeley in English Literature, and is Catholic, so check out the beatific "shocker" in the transom over his head.

Their combination of no-topic-too-taboo songs and good humor makes them a perfect fit for /mlpol/.

I created a full ceephax soundtrack for the film Metopolis. Worked well but youtube have deleted it now and I do not keep storage of such things as was just playing. Easy to do soundtracks with VLC. Take the film, strip the sound, make audio track, put together. I use Audacity but I am sure plenty of alternative. Metropolis works because you do not need to be so spot on with the timing.
