Intresting thoughts.
>The Ugly: I didn't really like the humor. 99% of it is just some character making a remark about dicks, pussies, balls or butts. Maybe I'd find it a bit less unbearable if they weren't all around 12 (or appear to be around 12). It's just disgusting, felt like the writers were child groomers.

This in particular because i remeber some faggot e-celeb comparing this favourably to Eromanga sensei. And his reasoing was that eromanga sensei's nudity was more sexual in nature than made in the abyss. You who have seen this, do you think so to or do you disagree?

Rising of the Shield Hero is good.
Has defendy boi, he is gud defendy. Works to improve, but he has alot of potential unexplored (the anime covers what it can).
Technically unknown semi loli shanker, uses her powers of accepting abuse to continue foward.
Fluffy feather furry wagoneer is the third section of the budding love triangle that protecc only wants to go home till he realizes they are all friends.
Just about everyone has varying degrees of uselessness. Except the weapons, and armor dealer he does a good job consistently.

I'd recommend it.

The Legend of the Overfiend
It's COOMER the movie.
"I have an anti-boner after watching this." - not going to name names here
It's a wtf ride all the way down. So to be clear it has sexual, and graphic parts that make up most of the movie. The plot and the reasoning behind it needs some clarification.
Viewers have rated it a confusing out of COOMER
I- am rethinking some of my choices now.
The music is good I do recommend listening to the music on its own.
When you think it'd over, but there is still another half of movie left to go. It just keeps on going like that till the end. Then it forgets to stop.

Plastic nee-san is a collection of comedic shorts following the three members of the plastic model club.
With antics, pettiness, and douchbaggery they make their way through the days. It's not coherent, has degeneracy, and a homo for one short ([s[who has been taken in by the police) at least one of the 2 minute ish shorts will bring a smile.
If not you've only wasted 27 minutes, and now have more meme material.

Last ep dropped today. Besides, season 5 is shit. The author (who's work had credibility and depth because he consulted with a professional chef for seasons 1-4) decided he didn't need consultation for the final season, and its shit. It ties up (ish) the romance/drama, but is horribly cliche, over the top, and bad.

Personally I am fully behind himler when it comes to problematic content thats fantasy creations only but when it comes to made in abyss there are very good arguements for why it doesn't fall into that category for those who do take up the cause of moral pugulism.

You know, obsene content, degenerate content, guro, loli, etc. At the end of the day we make fun of women for not understanding the difference between imaginary characters being descriminated against and real life people. I'm not going to pretend getting bent out of shape over the underage version of this is all that different, even if there should be restrictions on who can see such material at whatever age.

oh right
I finished "That time I got reincarnated as a slime". It was way better than I expected. A fun and fascinating take on a typical fantasy world! The hero's ability to learn from and copy shit while growing in power made him more interesting than the standard stereotypical shonen animu DBZ swordfag. The hero guy becoming a slime chick specifically was kinda gay but slime girls are cute.
What's the point of making your hero a dude if you'll turn him into a slime girl almost immediately? I guess it's "the next level" of pandering to guys who want to be cute successful powerful anime characters, but it's not like the fantasy escapistfags are strangers to female protags.
I'll rate this anime a solid 7/10. It didn't break new ground but it was fun.

Dorohedoro is a weird anime. Since I've only watched the anime that's my perspective.
It's not clever, but it isn't dumb. Things are the way they are and the world(s) is a place full of just people. Things happen because things have consequences.
>>1298
It does have violence, action, some mystery if that is what you look for, and it is fun.
The magic is interesting, and it's an interesting setting. The characters have believable motivations. It's a comedy. It can be tragic.
Surprisingly I remember the major plotpoints despite remembering it's... (meandering? not quite) It is a heavy focus on what the characters would do and they take steps to accomplish their goals, even when they are in the dark. Things have consequences good or bad.
I think it's an anime that is to be enjoyed in retrospect, while going through its just alot of world building. Fun world building, and characters. It's surprisingly highly memorable, and when it was done it's better when watched to full completion.
Also it's a magic world(s) and that has consequences.
Anonymous
No.1301
>>1300
I should rephrase that.
The anime doesn't try to be clever it does what it can do, and it does it very well. It doesn't stretch so much that the seems burst.
It's not like Gantz where it's shoehorned in and dog really is the main character.
It's not like Gelfnir: slapdash Furry Conversation with semi-moral-murderhobos.
It's not like Deca Dence. I mean, it's kinda but not really.
Dorohedoro is full of murder hobos and SCIENCE! MAGIC! Friendship, and doing the right thing works, not because of magical forces, but because you have a force multiplier that can take actions within those skillsets that can be applied. When people fuck up they have to do something about it, if it's them or a third party. Where people do remember what one did to or for them.
It's alot of people dealing with shit that happens, on all scales.

Finished Kill La Kill.
It was fun and cute and even hot at times but Satsuki and the elite four being good guys all along was a random twist that came out of nowhere. Doesn't really explain why they were such cunts. Still some stellar animation and fight scenes though.
After the show there was a bonus episode where the black chick (last surviving member of team evil) comes back with evil clones of Satsuki and the Elite Four made from how the no-star students remember them. Also turns the school into a giant robot and some Elite Four DTRs show up and Ryuko grows her scissor blades real big. Felt like this special was an excuse to show off concepts rejected for the final episode since the evil clones die almost instantly. I guess "its over now and you must move on" is an ok message for a post-finale special. It's always fun when an epilogue says "here is what this character and this character and this character will do after the show". Still leaves the door open for fanfic authors to write about how that goes while providing closure anyway.
All in all 9/10.

Finished Omamori Himari manga

What a fucking disappointment. It was pretty solid throughout most of the story, with great humor and a decent story. It certainly had it's flaws, but most flaws could be overlooked. But then, the last nine pages. The last nine pages of a manga that was over 1500 pages long. THE AUTHOR RUINED HIS ENTIRE STORY IN NINE PAGES. This story could contend for the "Most Damage Done to a Story in the Shortest Amount of Time" award, along with the very endings of Guerren Laggan and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Honestly, I think this was by far worse, because it RUINED ALL OF THE BUILDUP. At least in Guerren Laggan the story was pretty much over already. I just can't get over how much of a retard the author and editor must have been to ruin this perfectly decent story that could have easily become a classic with it's likeable characters and lewd humor. Instead, they turned a running joke into the ending and disappointment the readers.

7/10 before the ending, 2/10 after.

I expected a third rate DMC knockoff but it was fun. Normally OP protags are boring but Alucard is fun. Seras is cute too.
I also saw Into The Spiderverse, it's a movie but it was probably animated in north korea like the rest of them. It's cliche shit and another motherfucking origin story for the same fuucking character yet again and if it wasn't for how wacky it looks nobody would give it a second glance. The black spiderman replacement is lame just like the black Batman replacement. Handing him The Shocker and Invisible Girl's powers won't make him cool. Comic book AUs are like fanmade Undertale AUs but even less creative. What really separates "Undertale but mafia" from "Spiderman but noir"? What separates "Undertale but Sans is Papyrus and Papyrus is Sans" from "Spiderman but Gwen Stacy is Spiderman and Peter Parker is The Lizard"? "What if The Flash was a Cheetah and what if Batman was a Green Lantern?" Sucks. Eat my fucking ass Sony/Marvel/whoever else makes these things.

I haven't finished Castlevania but I feel like giving up on it and not making a new thread about it. 2 episodes in and I feel like it's spent more time being about bashing Christ than it has spent showing me men fighting magic bullshit, because it has.
For episode critique, we never see the Speakers help anybody in episode 2 so their claims that they help are pure tell-dont-show.
Would have helped the propaganda if the church showed up in a dying man's house to declare a dying man dead and finish him off, only to enounter a dying man being saved by a Speaker and want them both dead. The scene could try to paint christian prayer as inferior to vaguely foreign herbal witch voodoo or christian western civilization's medicine anachronistically before its time.

I actually appreciate the shorter runtime. It forces the writers to come up with a more focused script. But I think it also serves the show thematically with how tightly packed everything is. Things move really fast, as they should in a story like this.

On the other hand, maybe 2 more episodes would've helped to tie up some loose ends. Namely, showing a bit of the character development that happened off-screen during the time skip.
