I know you. You’re that guy that feigned interest in a long running, long established campaign, reacted very rudely and dismissively when any of the players who were trying to welcome you described or hinted at anything that wasn’t to your exact tastes, and then left in a huff when you were called out on your shitty attitude. Kiss my ass. https://ponerpics.org/img/view/2020/8/23/2429412.jpg

A: I only have a problem with you
B: not your call. I can't believe they came back to your trainwreck to be insulted, again, by you but that's their call.

And again, I didn't come here to laugh at the cripple. You can't deal with people, you can't run a TTRPG game because of it, and I would have come back to harass you if I thought it would help them.

Despite the fact you didn't ask and won't listen, I'm going to pass on some advice I recieved while looking for players here:

>you have to put yourself in the perspective of the player
>and ask what simple narrative device would get you [them]
>interested.
>It is very easy to waste 99% of your time and effort on stuff
>the player will never see if you don't regularly ground yourself
>in the player's perspective - the whole process of DMing
>relies on that perspective,
>it's just masturbatory worldbuilding otherwise.

That describes your experience, though, doesn't it?
you're here for the masturbatory worldbuilding and "get stressed" when the players play the game with their characters instead of placate you.

I play a different game. I'm pretty sure there's room in the Internet for that.
Good day, then.

I don’t care to deal with your projection. As one of the other players you insulted said, “don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out, faggot.”

heh. Projection? You're the one wandering into an unrelated thread and assuming it's about you.

Would it bother you that much if the players played another game ... and enjoyed it?

I wondered in only because it was about me. I didn’t notice that until I reread the post earlier today.

Can I not handle people, or do you just not like being handled? You came in asking about the game, and absolutely everyone gives you answers. You reply with “dating sims are stupid” and similar answers that showed that you were playing around with us, uninterested in what we had, and fundamentally wanted a different kind of game. That latter part is fair enough but the dismissive attitude was an issue. Now, I had previously let a problem player into the campaign who caused constant issues, and I realized that problematic behavior had to be addressed rather than endlessly tolerated. So I responded to your dismissive posts as appropriate, which to was inform you that you were being an ass. If you don’t like that, why come in with a shitty attitude and an insincere attitude in the first place? Why not either say nothing, or not dismiss the comments of a player as “dating sims are stupid”? Do you expect such comments to not invite a similarly vitriolic response? Why is it that you dish out insults then are stunned when a few are hurled back?

Anyways, if you want to play murder hobo games that’s fine, just don’t be an ass to those who don’t.

And likewise I've had a problem DM, asbergers just like how you present yourself here.
The 'no use for fantasy' line blows me away, but is probably common for the ailment.
Anyway, you're a pile of red flags and I wanted, likewise, to avoid a repeat.

You're the only one I have trouble with, and I guess I'm sorry for you that you can't tell.

I am also a DM.
I had to cancel my session today because two of my players did not show up, again.
I am sure they know that we are supposed to play every Sunday... And yet they still repeatedly make other plans without telling me. Sometimes I wonder if they even want to play my game at all.
I ate all of the snacks I laid out on the table myself like a fat fuck.

Because I was the first to realize you would be a problem player, even as most of your bullshit was targeted at other people. You didn’t fuck off finally until I called you out on it.

Fucking hell, that sucks. I’m sorry man.

I eff'd off because you came back from your temper tantrum to prove you would be a problem, and I didn't want to take you on as a rehab case.

>>5806
don't know about them, but I'm trying to run a game here.
Y'know, if you dump them entirely and find yourself twiddling your thumbs.
in-person, I'm guessing? I'd ask but I bet you're in the wrong timezone in addition to the wrong state for me to show up.
Had to cancel a few times, always tried to let the DM know. Or the players when I was DM'ing...Those didn't happen much though because I enjoyed it so much.

You honestly think that by being the last one to post, you can win the argument?
you're the only one I had problems with.
You're running your existing players away too, in case you haven't noticed. Because you're not very good at dealing with people, and don't pick up on subtle clues. But the players that have been slogging through an afternoon these past two years are fighting sunk-cost benefits figuring it will all be over soon anyway.

I’m really not persuaded you’re especially good at picking up on subtle clues or handling people, nor am
I persuaded that me being “the only one you have problems with” is anything other than others not speaking out until after I said something.

Anyways, I’ve been doing this for eight and a half years, and if you’re convinced everything is going to completely fall apart right now, then good on you. Just stop it with the snipes in unrelated threads and I’ll let you go back to doing whatever it is you’re doing, same as I’ll go back to what I am doing.

You are wasting energy criticizing another user's game when you haven't even finished preparing your own game (PC attribute scores, houserules, adventure exposition, allowed books, expected level range, ponyfinder source material, etc). You would be better to redirect your energy there instead of trying to provoke others.

I would like to but that guy gets under my skin something awful.
Also I don't seem to have any players so its not much of a loss right now. </sigh>

Anyway, yes you're right

You don't have any players because you didn't clearly define your rules enough to give them a place to start, or say anything about the adventure that would interest them.
And that's before considering the history of bad blood, and the general slow traffic on the site.
